Some notes on camping

On Sunday evening we returned to the Atlantic Ocean, camping at Salisbury State Beach.

It has been frustrating to us to keep hearing that such-and-such campground is closed for the season, but here (at Salisbury State Beach, as beautiful a setting as you can get) there are 480 RV spaces and fewer than 20 RV's in sight . . . so we must begin to understand the closings.

It is routine to see a sign in any campground, either in the bathroom or at the water spigot, saying "Do Not Wash Dishes Here," but the sign in this campground's bathrooms really takes the cake.
