Presque Isle Lighthouse

When we left Cheboygan, our first stop was at Presque Isle Lighthouse, which towers 109 ft above the landscape. Clara climbed all the way to the top, which for her was quite a feat given that the steps were of the open, see-through construction on a tight circular staircase. Just as we were getting ready to leave, a convoy of old vehicles came into the park, most driven by people who were not as old as the cars they were driving.

Further down the road we stopped at Williams Cheese Factory Outlet and picked up several cheeses and the hottest Buck Stick (venison and pork) ever created. Happy Hour was never tastier, and, in the pleasant surroundings of Bay State Recreation Area, made for a great evening.
