The Breakwater Lighthouse and another lobster






It all started with a breakwater to protect the harbor at Rockland; but then the breakwater needed a lighthouse to warn ships of its own existence. So here's a rough granite breakwater, nearly a mile long, with a lighthouse at the far end. And here, of course, are lots of people crazy enough to walk out there just to be able to say – they did it!

Clara had promised her twin sister that she would have two lobsters – one for each of them, so here's the second! For me, it was time for some rare Ahi, almost local, allegedly from the nearby Penobscot.
