Kancamagus Hiway and Route 100

On Thursday we traveled the Kancamagus Hiway from Conway, NH to the west, seeing some of the best scenery we've seen so far. At noon we drove over Bear Notch to the little town of Bartlett for lunch – the scenery through the Notch was awesome but the day was rainy and overcast so the pictures are not much. The ones down along the Hiway were much better.

On Friday, after spending the night at Apple Hill Campground in Bethlehem, NH, we drove Route 100 down the east side of the Green Mountains in Vermont.

This first picture is a two-fer – beautiful New Hampshire granite almost entirely covered by falling autumn leaves. The second is a tree in full color framed by a "window" in a covered bridge. The rest are just generic "nice pictures."
